"When we met Karen we knew we wanted to work with her. We went into the our birth process as prepared as we could possibly be. Karen taught us that even the best laid plans require flexibility when dealing with something as unpredictable as a birth, and so when I had to have an emergency cesarean section after 12 hours of natural labour, having Karen there with us and helping us to understand that the intervention was necessary was so important. I also credit Karen with helping me to establish and then continue breastfeeding despite several challenges. "
